Heading into the last week of Grumpy, as of Sat 5th June I shall have my evenings back- hmmm not sure I’ll know what to do with myself, now that Ashes To Ashes is over I’m not sure what’s worth watching on the telly?
That said – got v quickly addicted to The Million Pound Drop last week- it’ll be back- but Davina must never wear that fake pony-tail ever again.
Did a stand up gig on my Sunday Night off in Salisbury, nice big crowd- probably a bit posher than I’m used to playing, I think I might have lowered the tone a bit, not sure house prices will ever fully recover- but it was a nice night and the old man played driver and then watched Lewis and ordered room service in the bridal Suite of The White Hart Hotel whilst muggins here did her party tricks at the City Hall.
The girl child is home for one Bank Holiday night, hoorah, we will have spaghetti bolognaise and wine, she’s meant to be reading Sheridan but has fallen asleep- methinks there has been hard partying recently.
Ms Balloo and I have almost finished the re-writes of Twilight and are set to record in July- Oh yes and I have been offered an honoury Doctorate from Middlesex Uni, this means I shall become even more insufferable and insist on being called Dr Eclair at all times. Secretly I am horribly chuffed- because I went to drama school I’ve got a bit of a chip on my shoulder about my lack of education, this is a brilliant way of sounding like you might be quite clever without having to do a stroke of work- genius.
This month I have bought:
A bottle of Creed Vetiver scent which cost over a hundred quid and which I left on the bus.
I bought a small bottle of perfume from Penhaligan to make myself feel better but I am not allowed to buy anything else or get cabs either as punishment.
However I did buy glorious bunch of Peonies from Columbia Road market which just burst into massive droopy white heads and smelt divine.
